dog pound. In jail or prison; in trouble.
This is an uncommon reference on the outside, but a relatively common one for those in the penal system. In the online forum Prison Talk Online, KWolf uses the term casually: “instead of the obligatory stay in the dog pound, I was sent right over to [drug treatment]” Within prison, the dog pound may be a reference to a cell used for punishment. |
